Basic SNL Rules

Everyone starts with *4* pieces of clothing.
There is NO clothing penalty for late entry into the game.
Ladders go up ONLY, pink slides go down ONLY.
Go down a slide and lose 1 piece of clothing.

The gamerunner will determine random player order and keep track of things as much as possible.
Upon your turn, you will have 15 seconds to roll the die. If you do not begin your roll within 5 seconds, the gamerunner will begin counting down from 10 (e.g. 10, 9, 8…). Once time has expired, your turn will be skipped to keep the game moving.
It is your responsibility to know your location on the board as well as any specials in effect.

ANYONE can pause the game at ANY TIME.
If someone pauses the game, everyone should stop immediately and watch the chat window.
To pause the game, say /me PAUSE.
To resume the game, say /me RESUME.

Special Spaces

STRIPLose one piece of clothing.
FULL STRIPLose ALL clothing.
STEAL 1 PIECEPick another player and steal one piece of clothing (do not gain a piece).
PULLSpaces 29/39/69/83/88 are PULLs. Follow the PULL RULES* below.
ROLL2Roll again and take another turn.
WARP/ROLLFollow WARP ZONE RULES** below.

Do /roll2 (1d12) and move that many spaces.
Land on someone and strip one item from them.
Land on someone who is already nude and pose them (lander’s choice).
Land on a space occupied by multiple players, follow the rules for EACH player in that space.

When you lose your fourth/last piece of clothing, remove any extra clothing you have on at that time so that other players know that you are naked; otherwise they will not know whether they should try to remove an item of clothing or pose you.

Once you get to the last row of spaces (90-100), use /roll1 (1d6) to move.

If you move to a space as the result of anything other than your roll (e.g. ladder or slide):
Do NOT follow the instructions on space.
Do NOT strip or pose anyone else in that space.

Pull Rules*
Pick an unposed player, pull them to your space and pose them.
The pulled person skips their next turn.
The puller has the option to pass one turn during the pose.
The gamerunner will keep track of skips and passes during a pull pose.

In a game with a limited number of players (as determined by the gamerunner), both players in the pose will automatically be skipped for 2 turns.

During a pull, you MUST move to the pull space. Once you have done so, the person being posted ALWAYS has the right to REFUSE THE POSE

If you refuse a pose, you must /roll2 (1d12) TWICE and go BACK that many spaces (e.g. /roll2 = 6, /roll2 = 9, go back 15 spaces).

To avoid this situation, please check the player’s profile for accepted SnL poses or ask them what they will accept first! Non-sexual poses such as cuddling and dances can be used in ANY pull space, regardless of the labeling on the space.

The object of the game is to get to 100 first! But this isn’t nearly as easy as it sounds, especially once you get to the top row, which can be BRUTAL.

Mario SNL Special Rules

Star spaces – Invincible
Cannot be targeted in any way (pulls, steals, swaps, Bullet Bill, etc).

12ROTATE*Everyone moves to space of previous player.
Last player moves to space of first player.
*(e.g. if players are on spaces 45, 26, and 13, player movement is like this: 45 -> 26, 26 -> 13, 13 -> 45).

Warp Zone Rules**
Player does /roll (1d100).
Player moves to that space (e.g. roll 69 out of 100, go to space 69).
Player follows instructions on that space.

Yoshi’s Egg Rules (Spaces 24 and 86)
When a player lands on Yoshi’s Egg, your NEXT roll is DOUBLED.

Bullet Bill
Bullet Bill waits quietly at the top row (91-100) for players to enter that row.
Once there are players on that row, Bullet Bill launches across the row on ANY roll of 12.
Bullet Bill knocks all UNPOSED players on the top row down one row (e.g. 94 -> 87).

Space 100 Rules
You must roll the exact amount to land on space 100 and win the game. If you roll over, enter the warp pipe located after space 100:

This will teleport you back to space 88, which is a STAR SPACE:

Victory Pose (Optional)
Everyone does /roll (1d100).
The victor can choose to pose the player with the highest roll.
This can be skipped at any time in lieu of starting another round.

Other Notes
This version of SNL has no way to recover clothes once lost. This is by design, and was decided after extensive playtesting, where no one seemed to like this part of the game. That item in the [ ? ] box has since been replaced with STEAL 1 ITEM.

Alternate Rules

Roll Slides – when you land on a slide, do /roll1 (1d6). If the die throw is odd, (1, 3, 5), you take the slide. If the die throw is even (2, 4 ,6) you remain where you are. This may be activated during the endgame prior to moving to Sudden Death.

Question [ ? ] box – replace 4/PULL with 4/ROLL AGAIN.

Quick Start – to jump into a game and get right into poses, everyone starts the game naked.

Double Skip – in a small game (e.g. 4 players), it may be beneficial to allow double skips during poses to allow people to enjoy the game.

Sudden Death

Upon mutual agreement that the game is running too long, Sudden Death can be activated by the gamerunner.
Everyone does /roll (1d100) and adds the number of the space they are on (e.g. a player on space 53 and /rolls an 24 has a total of 77).
The highest value is the winner of the game.

Gamerunning

One person will function as the gamerunner. The gamerunner will:

The gamerunner has the sole right to remove any player that does not play for a certain amount of time, does not follow the rules, is disruptive, or for any other reason the gamerunner feels is detracting from the game.

Game Token

Upon willing a round, you will be presented with a Winner’s Token:

Congratulations on your triumph in Mario SNL! You’ve conquered slides, unlocked Question Boxes, and emerged as the ultimate champion. Claim your iconic ✪Winner’s Token✪, display it proudly, and continue your adventures in the Mushroom Kingdom, Superstar!

You may trade this token in a later game to avoid any game hazard (not valid for PULLs).
